Horse teams with horse girls

My barn buddy, Therese, and her husband have Broncos season tickets. She thought it would be fun to host a horse girls night at Empower Field when two "horse teams" - the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts - were playing.

I used to watch a lot of baseball, but football has never been my thing. Still, this sounded fun, especially since I knew there would be horses.

Thursday was game day.

We arrived at the stadium, bought our drinks and headed to the face painting table. When I was asked what I wanted, I said simply, "I like horses."

This is what I got.

Mary Jo's horse had sparkles and glitter.

Horse girls.

We found our seats and settled in to watch the game.

Of course, what we were really watching was Thunder.

He made an appearance every time the Broncos scored.

On this particular night, that happened three times.

Go Thunder!

Alas, the Broncos lost 12-9 in overtime. But, as Mary Jo said, "who cares when there were so many horses."
