I've said if before, and I undoubtedly will say it again: The best part of BreyerFest is the people.
This year more than ever, I tried to take pictures with all my friends.
Old friends.
New friends.
Friends who live near.
Friends who live far.Friends I know well.
Friends I know a little.Random acquaintance friends I don't actually know at all.
All friends.All the time.
I didn't do this because I love taking selfies.
Honestly, I look hot, sweaty and terrible in most of them.
I did it because if the last couple years have taught me anything, it's this: No one can predict the future.
Nothing is guaranteed.
As much as I'd like to think we'll all see each other again next year, I know that's not always the case.
This was generally a very happy BreyerFest, but there were somber moments, moments when we remembered Pat, Gretchen, Krista, Liz, Ed and Shirley and all our other friends who passed away since the last in person BreyerFest. I wish I could go back in time and take pictures with each of them.
That's not possible, of course, so instead, I did the next best thing.
And then I did it over...and over again.
Thank you so much to everyone who snuggled up for a selfie with me during BreyerFest. I love these pictures almost as much as I love you.
