Ninety three

I had planned to go all out for the BreyerFest Open Show, so I asked Tiffany if I could borrow some of her specialty tack sets. Among other things, she sent an Iberian set by Cristina Brown.
My pictures don't do it justice. This is really beautiful.
I decided I would use it on Quiver, so I started researching Working Equitation obstacles. I quickly found something appropriate for a horse in his position, but it didn't capture my imagination. Instead, I became strangely fixated on the bull silhouette.

I decided that not only did I need to make one, but also that it had to make it out of wood. I don't have the right tools for this, so it became rather... laborious.

"This is stupid," I told myself. "There are a million things I need to do. Why am I cutting a bull out of plywood?"
Then my eyes wandered over to the calendar hanging on my studio wall. I saw Father's Day sitting right on top of my father's birthday.
Suddenly, it all made sense.
Happy ninety third birthday, Dad.
I hope you like this year's cow.
