A stitch in time

For the last couple weeks, I've had a houseguest.

His name is Aiser.
Aiser is an Emilia Kurila Leonardo resin painted by Jessica Berry and owned by Fabian Rodriguez.
He is absolutely beautiful, except for one small thing.
Can you see it?
His tail cracked in transit.
I'm pretty handy when it comes to repairs, but tackling a really nice, really expensive painted piece that belongs to someone else is, well, stressful. It took me a long time to work up the courage to dig out, fill and repaint that crack.
I finished the repair Friday night and delivered him to Fabian at the show hall Saturday morning.
This was Aiser's live show debut, and I was almost as excited as Fabian to see how he did. Even though, my part of the show was long over, I stayed until late in the day just waiting for the Artist Resin Iberian class.
So many beautiful horses were placed on the table...
including Fabian's lovely Trenzado, also painted by Jessica Berry.
YES!
Although I wasn't there for it, Aiser also went on to win the Overall Reserve Championship of the Artist Resin Division.
Congratultions, Fabian! I'm so glad that worked out.
