It's been a weird, busy, hot week, and somehow I hadn't made it to the barn since before I went to California. My friends started worrying about me, and yesterday, Karen offered me the ride on Thunder. You know, it doesn't matter how much of a funk I'm in, I can never say no to Thunder.
Because of the heat, Mary Jo and I opted to go out in the evening. I could not believe how green everything was!
Facebook memories indicate that this is typical for early June. However, in a state as dry as Colorado, this really does seem like a miracle, even if it happens every year.Mary Jo and I took our annual tall grass photos.
It's more impressive with Thunder because he's so short.
This year I took video, too.
Here's another one.
Thank you, Karen, for sharing your best boy with me. I would have hated to have missed this year's greenery!

What breed is Thunder and how tall is he?
ReplyDeleteThunder is a Rocky Mountain Horse, and he's a little guy. I haven't measured him, but he's in the 14 hand range.
