It finally snowed today.
It had been two hundred thirty two days since Denver's last snowfall. That's the second longest snowless streak in the history of the city, and December 10 is the latest first snowfall ever. The previous record was November 21, 1934.
We got three tenths of an inch. It's not much, but it's better than nothing.Seth and I are still sharing a car. Today was his day, which meant he had to drive me to and from work. We stopped by the barn on the way - although it's really not - to give Olive her breakfast.
She was wet and covered in snow. I have never been one to worry about fat, healthy, unclipped horses in thirty degree weather, but I guess somethings actually are different when they're yours. I wanted nothing more than to wrap her up in a warm blanket.
Olive doesn't want that, though. Much the opposite, she and her neighbors seemed completely content. I stood with her for a few minutes while she ate, then walked back to the parking lot where Seth was waiting in the warm van.See you tomorrow, sweet pony. I hope you enjoyed that first snow.
