Over the years, several people have remarked on my ability to find horses in unlikely places. Here's the most recent example.
Yesterday was a "warm before the storm" day. I didn't work, so I spent the morning with Olive.
We joined Karen and Roy on a little ride around the top and bottom of the retention pond. Olive hadn't been off property since Mary Jo's birthday, and no surprise, the first part of the ride was a little bit sticky.
Then she got going, and it was fine.
Actually, it was better than fine. Olive walked through this water filled drain several times without drama. Good pony! After our ride, we decided to hit our favorite watering hole for lunch and drinks. I was driving down Colfax Avenue, which is this country's longest commercial street, when I spotted something unexpected - a Charro horse tied to a pole in front of a gas station.
I glanced over at my passenger seat, saw the camera and thought, "Oh, yeah. I need a picture of that."
So I flipped a u-ey and went back.I took several pictures of the horse and a couple close-ups of his saddle.
Then it was back in the car and on to my destination. I didn't expect to see a horse on Colfax, but it didn't really surprise me either. I don't know how or why, but horses really do seem to find me. It's a gift from the universe. I'll take it.

Does anyone know where I can find some free 1:9th scale horse props? Other than Desktop Stables(I've already put them together) last alliance and my froggy stuff. Thanks!
