December horses: Olaf

Ernie has a "brother" named Olaf.

Olaf needs a little extra care, so he lives in the field during the day and a stall at night. 

His stall is right next to the parking lot, so I check in with him most mornings.

Recently, I've noticed that Olaf has a new feature. 

Olaf has eyebrows!

At first I thought these were part of a carriage horse costume, much like Ernie's red and green hooves. Recently, however, I learned that's not the case.

Here's the story of the eyebrows as shared by Olaf's owner, JoAnna: Olaf was in his run munching away one day and when I came to turn him out, I noticed that he had skinned both eyes just at the brow... so uniformly.... when the hair grew back it amazingly grew back in Black.

She adds: He is truly an Olaf now!

I used to think eyebrows on horses was a Disney creation, but Olaf has taught me otherwise. He is the perfect reference horse for everyone who wants to show their Spirit models!
