The rules are simple. To enter, take ten photos representing each of the following prompts:
1. Vintage
2. Nekkid
3. Scale issues
4. I see spots
5. Unbridled passion
6. Rare breed
7. Portrait
8. Conga
9. The great outdoors
10. Best in show
There are three ways to submit your entries: post them on your blog, email them to me at braymere@comcast.net or upload them to my Facebook page.
All photos must be property of the entrant. Please do not use other people's work!
Deadline for entry is two weeks from today (February 7) at noon MST.
Everyone who completes the challenge will be entered into a drawing for a free BCS nameplate halter. Additionally, a second halter will be awarded to the person whose photos most impress the judges (that would be my family and me!).
Judging will be based on creativity and overall impression. Photo quality is not a major factor, so you do not need to have an expensive DSLR to be competitive.
This is a cell phone picture |
That said, dark and blurry photos are unlikely to impress the judges. We know it's possible to take good pictures with cell phones!

Have fun and good luck. I can't wait to see your pictures!
I am slightly concerned Jose might make an appearance in #5. Unbridled Passion if the Queen of all Things Pink and Leopard Printed enters.
ReplyDeleteI am far more worried about him making an appearance in #2 Nekkid.
Delete;)
That's what I thought too and that's kinda what my #2 photo was going to be. Family friendly though since I don't want to scare anybody, including me. You'll see, I'm hoping to get them posted on my blog tonight! I'm so excited and thanks for hosting!!!
DeleteI just uploaded my entry on my blog, Please go check it out, and let me know you saw it by commenting on the post. Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteYay! You were really fast and those pictures are excellent!
Delete:)
Thank you so much!
DeleteI am hoping to keep up on my blog and get out and take more pictures! You also helped me get 300 page views in one day today so thanks again!
DeleteAre the categories open to our own interpretation or do they need to be exact? This could be fun!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely open to interpretation. I deliberately tried to choose prompts that encouraged creativity!
DeleteAwesome! Thank you. I have some ideas swirling in my brain.
DeleteYES! This is gonna be fuuuun ;)
ReplyDeleteMine is done! This was so much fun!

Glad you think so! Thank you so much! :-D
DeleteCan you use pre-existing photos or must they all be taken specifically for this?
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely entering either way!
Pre-existing is fine. My entry for Lauren's scavenger hunt included a mix of old and new pictures.
DeleteExcellent! That's a relief - the weather's so dull here at the moment, shooting anything new wouldn't really be much of an option!
DeleteWhere did you get the tiny model horse in the 1st picture? Is it a Breyer Mini Whinnies model?
ReplyDeleteIt's a Mini Whinny.
DeleteOooh! I need to enter this ^.^
ReplyDeleteSoo going to do this. Great way to learn about my camera. Also have way too many ideas.
