Right before I left for Europe, I traded my trusty old iPhone 6 for a brand new iPhone 11. That was a good decision. I used to scoff at phone cameras, but no more. I used my phone camera as much as my real camera during my four weeks in Europe. It took hundreds of fantastic photos in all sorts of lighting and never failed me, except...
Poor Mr Toad! The phone had no problem with him as long as I left it in regular Photo mode.
But the moment I switched it to Portrait mode, Mr Toad lost half his face! This happened over and over again, and the results were unfailingly hilarious.
I absolutely love my new phone, but this is just one of the reasons why I'm still packing my big camera with me wherever I go. Cell phones have great cameras, but nothing beats a good DSLR.
